Breaking barriers - Austria goes to Poland via Erasmus+

From April 6th to the 12th, 2026 the ORG 9 traveled to Wrocław, Poland to participate in an Erasmus+ project with our partner school IPS Upper Secondary International School.

Over the course of three project days, the 9th graders of both schools worked together on activities with the goal of improving intercultural skills as well as English language skills. The students created world flags, exchanged quintessential Austrian and Polish general knowledge, read a Polish poem out loud, learned about intercultural issues in a Shakespearean play and discussed issues in society pertaining to culture, privilege and social differences. In the evenings IPS students joined ours in fun social activities, including playing interactive pixel games and eating food from around the world at a food hall. During this time the students could get to know each other better and learn about what is important to teens their age from various cultural backgrounds. Overall, the ORG 9 gained knowledge about school life in another European country and the value of cultural differences, all while speaking English day-in and day-out.
